Restaurante-Bar Floridita. On the corner of Obispo Street and Monserrate Street in the bustling hart of Old Havana, over one hundred and fifty years ago, opened a bar which was to have an exceptional destiny. El Floridita is the birthplace of the world famous Daiquiri cocktail and has been visited by illustrious guests such as the Duke of Windsor, Gene Tunney, Jean-Paul Sartre, Gary Cooper, Ava Gardner, Tennessee Williams. However, for the most famous visitor, Ernest Hemingway, there is a continuous presence in the form of a bronze bust inaugurated in 1954.
