There are three levels in the physiotherapy course offered in Cuba. The first level is called basic technician and is attained after one year of intensive hands-on training. The second level, (superior) technician is attained at the end of the third year. If you continue to the fifth year you would complete the third and final level which is called 'Licensing'.

Cuba will bring its free eye surgery program to Africa and Asia in the coming months, expanding a campaign that has restored eyesight to hundreds of thousands of poor people in 28 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Cuba has 332,000 teachers, one for every 36 inhabitants, the best such indicator in the world, said Education Minister Luis Gomez speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2005-2006 school year in eastern Las Tunas province.
