The mayor of Salvaterra, Spain, conferred a replica of the city´s coat of arms to the Camagüey Folk Ballet (BFC) during the visit of that Cuban dance company to the Ibero American nation.
The staff received the recognition Monday in the Spanish theater where it performed just yards from the border with Portugal.
The information sent by Reynaldo Echemendia, BFC director, states that the next tour performances will take place in Seville, Cordoba, Valladolid and the Spanish enclave of Melilla, on the north African coast.
According to Echemendia, the audience has provided the Camagüey Folk Ballet with a very warm welcome at every presentation.
