According to experts, several sites in the province qualify as ecologic trails, due to their high socio-cultural values.
Holguín's attractions include its bays and beaches, as well as a 32-km-long corridor of migratory birds and more than 100 endemic species.
The most relevant trails, located at the Cristóbal Colón Park, in Cuba's third major tourist region, are Roca Azul, la Loma del Temple and La Guana.
The development of ecotourism along Holguín's coast is complemented by a scientific program aimed at fostering research and environmental education.
