Mexico and Venezuela announced for August 3 the annual renewal of the San Jose Agreement signed in 1980 for the daily supply of 160,000 barrels of oil and derivatives under favorable terms to Caribbean and Central American countries.
Benefiting from the deal are Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
The San Jose Agreement comprehends a cooperation plan aimed at financing the beneficiaries’ socio-economic development projects, in addition to the exchange of goods and services that also involves Mexican and Venezuelan companies.
