The Sports Ministries of Angola and Cuba Wednesday signed an extensive cooperation agreement, thus ratifying both countries´ willingness to strengthen sports links and boost a bilateral strategic alliance.
Albino de la Concepcion, Angolan vice minister of Youth and Sports, and Christian Jimenez, Cuban vice minister of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation signed the agreement after three days of friendly talks.
The agreement includes cooperation in sports medicine and management with the assistance of Cuban instructors in training referees for different sports disciplines like chess, boxing, wrestling, judo, and track and field, among others.
The Cuban official told Prensa Latina his stay in Angola is part of a cooperation tour through several African countries with which Cuba maintains excellent collaboration in sports.
