Turned into the Empresa Palacio de las Convenciones, the center has hosted more than 2,000 national and international congresses attended by roughly 810,000 delegates.

These events, in which many foreign delegates have participated, have played a major role in the development of economic, political, cultural, commercial and social relations between Cuba and many countries.

The company is made up of 14 units, including the Palco Hotel, the PABEXPO exhibition hall and Club Habana.

It also includes Inmobiliaria Palco and its house La Mansión, more than 70 luxury residences, four restaurants (Bucán, El Palenque, Rancho Palco and La Finca), the Karl Marx Theater (the biggest in the country), the Palcograf printing house, the car-rental company Palco Car, and a Commercial Center specialized in gourmet products.

According to experts, the company's work is a key factor in the country's efforts to boost congress tourism.
