Spain Promotes Tourism to Cuba
Cuba's Tourism Office in Spain and the local tour operators Viajes El Corte Inglés and Hoteles Meliá took part in the campaign presentation.
Executives from the said companies, as well as from Cubana de Aviación, presented the project to businesspeople and the specialized media.
According to executives from El Corte Inglés, Cuba is an attractive destination, due to the high values of its tourist product, which is complemented by a wide range of offers and the people's human quality.
In Sol Meliá's case, the executives recalled that the Spanish hotel chain has operated in Cuba for over 10 years and runs many hotels under administration contracts.
According to experts, Spain is called to play a leading role in short-term development projects in Cuba's leisure industry, because it has made major investments in the Caribbean Island's hotel infrastructure.
