The facility, located near the Escambray mountain range, is characterized by exuberant vegetation, attractive mountainous landscapes and the possibility of being close to different kinds of animals that interact with visitors.

At Villa de Recreo Ma. Dolores, visitors can enjoy a countryside party at the 130-seat restaurant, the pork-roasting ritual, horse-riding excursions, rowing on the south coast, a beautiful sunset and swimming in the river or the pool.

Other activities that the approximately 300 vacationers who visit the recreational villa every month can enjoy are countryside work like cow milking or palm clearance.

According to legend, the place was named after an extraordinarily beautiful woman who liked to take mud massages on the banks of the Guarao River, whose water is part of the recreational offer.
