Poor Cinema Festival in Eastern Cuba
The festival, which was dedicated to France, allowed participants to exchange experiences on the alternatives of digital cinema.
Debates also dealt with technical and esthetic deficiencies and the use of the Internet to promote poor cinema.
Cuban and foreign experts debated on the ethical conception of making films with scarce technological resources, without limiting creation and, least of all, the freedom of artistic and conceptual expression.
The Cuban films "Tres Veces Dos" (Three Times Two) and "Habana Abierta" (Open Havana), as well as the French motion picture "El Coro" (The Choir), were exhibited within the framework of the festival.
