More Students Enroll in Higher Education in Granma
According to sources from the education sector, the university will have 7,500 students, many of whom will study in local branches in the province's municipalities.
The increased enrollment results from new educational programs being implemented in the country and aimed at guaranteeing that all citizens have access to Higher Education.
The University of Granma will train professionals in agricultural sciences to meet the needs for that kind of expert in all five eastern provinces.
Founded in 1976, the University of Granma is expected to be among the best higher education centers in the country, taking into consideration the university-society fusion, sustained achievements in training doctors and the application of science and technology.
The university has graduated 342 young professionals from 32 countries, mainly developing nations.
