Iberoarte'2004 in Eastern Cuba
The Expo Holguín exhibition hall hosted the event, at which artisans from different regions presented their creations, including woodworks, jewelry, textiles, ceramics and fiber works.
On this occasion, the event was attended by a score of artisans from Peru, Venezuela and Brazil, in addition to local craftspeople whose works were contributed by eight provincial branches of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets.
According to experts, this kind of event is also an excellent opportunity for exchange among promoters, creators and collectors.
The 5th edition of Iberoarte, which was dedicated to utilitarian craftsmanship, especially kitchen utensils, was aimed at fostering renovation of handicrafts to meet the needs of everyday life.
