According to preliminary statistics, Sol y Son Los Viajes, which belongs to Cubana de Aviación, carried 1,400 vacationers to Cuba and the Caribbean from January to September 2004.

Cuba's many options, including health tourism programs, incentives and congresses, among others, have contributed to those excellent results.

As part of its promotional activities, Sol y Son participated in the International Fair Leisures'2004 and will attend another similar event in the city of Ekaterinburg this month.

The Cuban tour operator opened an office in this city ten years ago and has other branches in Moscow and Tbilisi, Georgia.

In order to expand its activities, Sol y Son expects to sell vacation packages from other countries to Russia.
