Excellent Work of Cuban Flag Airline Highlighted
Havana.- Cubana de Aviación, Cuba's flag airline, has a thick record of achievements since it was founded 75 years ago.
Created on October 8, 1929, Cubana de Aviación is a founding member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and joined the IATA in 1945.
As part of the company's strategy to meet transportation needs in various routes, the airline has a fleet consisting of Il-62, and Airbus A330 and A320 planes for intercontinental flights.
Cubana de Aviación flies to 26 international and 12 national destinations, including Cancun, Montreal, Toronto, Mexico, San José (Costa Rica), Guatemala and Panama.
In Europe and Asia, Cuba's flag airline flies to Gran Canaria, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Rome and London, while in South America, it flies to Aruba, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Curacao and Sao Paulo.
In addition, the airline runs the tour operator Sol y Son Los Viajes, which is staffed by highly-trained personnel in charge of selling destination Cuba.
