The three-star hotel, located in San Diego de los Baños, has expanded its influence on the local community by taking environmental actions.

Measures include the rehabilitation of waste-treating systems, repairing works in the town, the pharmacy and schools, and the creation of interest clubs.

During the ongoing low tourist season, maintenance works have been carried out in the hotel as groups of foreign tourists stay at the establishment.

The hotel has implemented a strategy to replace gas equipment, control energetic carriers, classify wastes and preserve the surrounding areas.

El Mirador Hotel expects to get a good assessment from CITMA to receive the Environmental Award, which only the Moka and Soroa hotels have obtained in the province.
