Don Antonio Bets on Tourism in Eastern Cuba
The establishment, owned by the Grupo de Recreación y Turismo Rumbos, is located on the busy Plaza de Dolores in Santiago de Cuba.
The restaurant serves exquisite dishes from Cuban and international cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The house belonged to Don Antonio Vaillant, Marquis of Candelaria de Yayabo.
The mansion is characterized by typical Spanish-colonial architecture, including high ceilings, iron-wrought windows, spacious rooms and a central patio with its original fountain.
Of special interest is a collection of paintings that portray the historic evolution of Plaza de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores from 1762 to 1972.
