Cuban diplomats in Russia briefed local businesspeople on the current situation of the Cuban tourism industry, as well as new hotel projects.

According to estimates, more tan 15,000 Russian vacationers will visit Cuba this year, compared to 12,000 travelers in 2003.

The Russian entrepreneurs expressed interest in legal guarantees on foreign investment and requested information about the construction of hotels and the occupancy rates in various destinations.

The Russian experts noted the possibilities of investment in Cuba, based on experiences in other sectors.
