Cuba's Outstanding Performance at Deaf Olympics
The Cuban delegation won eight medals, including four gold, two silver and two bronze, finishing among the top 15 countries.
In contrast to Rome'2001, the Cubans won one medal too little, but improved their quality, since they doubled the number of gold medals.
Athletics contributed the largest number of medals, with six, and Kenia Carvajal stood out in the long jumping and triple jumping competitions.
In addition, Alexei Pérez won the gold medal after jumping 1.99 meters in the high jumping competition, while the men's 4x100 relay finished second.
Yoslei Márquez was the most outstanding wrestler after winning a gold medal in the 120-kg freestyle division and a silver medal in the Greco-Roman style.
