US players Alexander Onischuk (47th with 2,652 points), Yasser Seiraiwan (69th), Alexander Goldin (73rd) and Ikaro Nakamura (99th) are the other representatives of the Americas in the world ranking.

Topping the list is Russian GM Garry Kasparov (2,803 points), followed by India's Viswanathan Anand (2,786) and Bulgaria's Veselin Topalov (2,757).

By teams, Cuba is in the 24th position with 2,542 points. The average is calculated from the score of the best ten players in each country.
