Founded in 1998, Bodegas San Cristóbal produces one million bottles of red, white and pink wines a year, and exports its products to Curacao, Hong Kong and several European countries.

The company is cultivating Italian grapes that were genetically modified to adjust them to the Tropic, with an eye to gradually replacing musts imported from Italy.

Experts said that the foundations have been laid to complete the cycle to produce Cuban table wine using clones of many varieties of grapes.

Red and white wines are the most demanded products from Bodegas San Cristóbal, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and whose clarification, filtration and quality control processes are carried out following strict international standards.
