Cuban Duet to Compete at World Racquetball Tournament
The Cuban delegation is made up of Disnay Linares and Maria Regla Rivas among the women, and Yunior Delgado and Noslen Jiménez among the men.
Experts said that the Cuban team would have to play against strong adversaries like the United States and the host country.
According to organizers, more than 30 countries participated in the championship for athletes from 9 to 18 years of age, held at La Loma Sport Center.
Prior to the tournament, the Cuban team was coached by Canada's Rusty Rischok, a former professional player who made a valuable donation to the Cuban Racquetball Federation.
Rischok coached Canada's team, two-time winner of the world championship and a leader in North America.
