Cuban Chess Player at Major Tournament in Bermudas
The tournament brings together six Grand Masters, who play two rounds under an all-around system.
Among the participants are Israel's Boris Gelfand – who is number 16 in the world ranking with a score of 2,696 points – and Ukraine's Andrei Volokitin (number 20 in the world).
Other prominent players who will compete at the Bermudas tournament are Grand Masters Giovanni Vescovi (Brazil), Pentyala Harikrisna (India) and Bartlomiej Macieja (Poland), who place 52nd, 68th and 89th in the world ranking, respectively.
For his part, Domínguez scores 2,661 points and is in the 41st position in the world ranking.
The tournament is category XVII, according to the International Chess Federation.
