Cuba Expects More Than Two Million Visitors in 2004
Local tourism authorities pointed out that tourist arrivals grew 12 percent in June, compared to the same month last year, and the tourist-day parameter also increased.
The statistics, released at the 2nd National Congress of Event Organizers, Incentives and Related Activities, showed excellent prospects for Cuba's leisure industry.
In addition, the sources noted Cuba's potentialities to develop congress tourism, considering that the Island is a safe and attractive destination for meetings and incentives.
In that regard, the president of the Cuban Association of Event Organizers, Incentives and Related Activities, Isabel Puebla, pointed out that the so-called congress industry is a guarantee for exchange and promotion of our products.
