Cruise Tourism in Eastern Cuba
The Santiago de Cuba terminal is expected to receive seven cruise ships over the next five months, as part of the development of that tourism modality in the country.
The ship, owned by the German company Transocean Tour, carried 342 vacationers during her only voyage to the Caribbean.
The voyage began on October 21 in Santo Domingo and will end in Europe on November 12. The ship will stop in Santiago de Cuba and the Cuban capital.
Sources from the travel agency Viajes Cubanacán pointed out that 70 percent of travelers made reservations to tour the city, which has outstanding cultural and patrimonial values.
The tours include visits to the Hotel Los Corales in the Baconao Park, and La Gran Piedra tourist center, where vacationers can visit the remnants of French-Haitian coffee farms from the 18th century.
