The CD contains 14 tracks selected from Vitier's huge repertoire especially composed for the cinema and television.

The record includes songs performed by the National Symphonic Orchestra and world-renowned soloists such as Guillermo Barreto and Tata Güines, the researcher, musician and journalist Leonardo Acosta, singer songwriter Gema Corredera and Haitian singer Martha Jean-Claude.

Vitier himself described "Visiones" as works created in function of images in both the cinema and television.

Also for Colibrí Productions, Vitier recorded a CD entitled "Del Renacimiento a la Rumba" (From Renaissance to Rumba), which is dedicated to the world-renowned Cuban guitarist and composer Leo Brower.
