CIMEQ's Work in Interventionist Cardiology Highlighted
According to experts, CIMEQ surgeons have performed more than 4,000 heart surgeries since 1998, including 1,000 coronary surgeries.
The said procedure consists of introducing a catheter through an artery to the heart to achieve the artery's dilation.
The technique is considered non-invasive and, in most cases, it is performed without anesthesia, so the patient, who participates in the operation, can return home 24-48 hours after surgery and achieves total recuperation after a week.
CIMEQ also performs ambulatory angioplasties on patients suffering from non-complex heart disorders who can return home four hours after surgery.
