Capiro Publishing House Favors Culture
The publishing house has published 185 titles, in addition to several books that are ready to be printed.
In that regard, Capiro will print "La Paloma y el Metodólogo" (The Pigeon and the Methodologist), a book on performing arts by Rafael González, director of the Escambray theater company, and the novel "El Callejón de la Rata" (The Rat's Alley), by Jorge Angel Hernández.
Founded in September 1990, Capiro has worked to meet literary needs in central Cuba, although it has published works by personalities from other regions of the country, including Carilda Oliver, Angel Augier and Raúl Roa Kourí.
Capiro publishes the collections Faz on poetry, Ulán on fiction, testimony and essays, Taita on children's literature, and Jungle on art.
