Broad Tourism Programming During Summer in Cuba
Parties, workshops, festivals and a wide range of international meetings characterized tourism programs in July and August.
The calendar of activities during the said period was sponsored by 11 Cuban and three foreign institutions, and included such events as the World Children's Theater Festival, which was attended by delegates from 27 countries.
Cuba also hosted the 1st International Audiovisual Festival for Children and Adolescents, which exhibited 52 foreign films in the fiction, documentary and cartoon categories.
Summer Cuballet and the International Folkcuba Festival added to Cuba's attractions for dance lovers from all over the world, providing them with the opportunity of learning about the island's traditions in both cultural expressions.
Other options available were cycling tourism, trailing, safaris, golf and excursions in direct contact with nature.
