Actions in Favor of Heritage in Eastern Cuba
The working strategy is aimed at rescuing, updating inventories and spreading the region's history.
With that objective in mind, experts said, inventories of places of architectural, natural and historic interest have been done, including commemorative constructions.
Restoration works are being carried out in the Morro Castle Fortress, declared World Heritage, and the Museums of Colonial Historic Ambiance and La Isabelica. The latter is the last remnant of the French-Haitian imprint in eastern Cuba.
Other works are being done in the Frank País House Memorial Museum, on the 70th birthday of the revolutionary leader killed in 1957.
